I share photographer Nikita Shahbazi’s sentiment that the world’s beauty arouses the creative spirit. As did Dante Alighieri, the great Florentine poet of the Middle Ages, who said, “Beauty stirs the soul to act.”
We welcome Nikita, who is Iranian-born and Amsterdam-based. Living surrounded by water, immersed in the fluid practice of Continuum, Nikita’s photographs capture visual treasures during her early morning walking meditations.
What moves your soul? What moves your soul to act?
I find many soul-enlivening experiences while in the practice of Continuum. This embodied enchantment gives me the energy to orient in an often disorienting and disturbing world. Bubbling with life force, ideas and new ways of being emerge.
These inspirations led to the somatic workbook The Elemental Body: A Guide to Kinship with Ourselves and the Natural World, co-authored with Rori Smith. October 22 – 25, Rori and I continue our elemental collaboration with Movement Meditation for Creative Living, a Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon Continuum workshop at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY.
Join us on this extended fall weekend to explore your fluid nature with breath, sound, movement, silence, and optional art making.
We look forward to moving our souls with yours,
Elaine, Rori & Sandra
