The ocean
crawled out onto a sunny shore
over millennia
breathtaking
walking within wondrous skin containers
Hold a body up
to an empty seashell
and listen
The brine of cerebrospinal fluid
continuously washes your brain
2,000 gallons of daily blood
gushes through your heart
lymph river systems hitch rides
surfing on your every move
Billions of neurons
communicate through chemical currents
molecular mermaids and mermen
silently partnering waves
overlapping
our internal body ballets
We flock back to the waters
as tourists on beaches
at rivers
lakes
ponds
pools, sinkholes and swamps
pay homage
to the sea of emergence
We never forget
the flux of our beginning
the ebb of our end
keep listening
for eternal tides
in every drop
