My name is Nikita Shahbazi. I’m originally from Iran, and I really love living in places with beautiful wildlife, mountains, and nature. That said, destiny brought me to the Netherlands—one of the flattest countries on earth!

Fortunately, I get to enjoy nature’s beauty in the summer, when the sun rises around 6 AM and the days are wonderfully long.

My early morning walking meditations have truly changed my life. Just the sight of green trees, the sound of birds greeting one another as the sun rises, and the pure, quiet essence of nature at its deepest core—it all helps me see the world in a different light.

It is not my intention to capture images during my morning meditations. My apps stay locked, undisturbed. But sometimes, the beauty is so overwhelming that my soul is moved—and the only message from deep within which says: let this treasure finally be seen.

How somatic practice informs my artistic expression: Continuum has deepened my relationship with my own centre. Our pure essence lies buried deep within the physical form, and unearthing it asks for devotion, sensitivity, and a quiet willingness to listen. Taking time to pause—to feel, to receive, to allow impulses from deep within to surface and move—has helped me follow my intuition and unleash the force of my creativity.
