Deborah Mutschler is a consultant to nonprofit and public entities focused on bringing together cross-disciplinary groups to solve problems together, and on thinking with organizations about ways to manifest their missions in all aspects of their operations. She has been consulting since 1990 and began practicing Continuum in 1994. “I am curious, increasingly, about what Continuum can offer to the ways in which organizations and initiatives can move, or become frozen.”
In my earliest paintings, I saw trees as dancing, and bodies shaping mountains. Since establishing a Continuum practice, I see branching rivers and trees reflected in our circulatory system, or the swirling of our muscles and organs mirroring patterns of water. I’m drawn to share this sense of an underlying coherence in the natural world as my guideposts on the journey to greater connection with humanity and the planet.
